Capital One Landing at DCA

The space here is limited, but they compensate for it with quality. The dishes (tapas style) are pretty much as good as it gets at an accessible airport lounge. They offer different styles of cuisine as well as cocktails. The tofu donburi was especially addictive.

25 minute wait to get in, but it was worth it. The staff has been well trained from start to finish. First off, the food was incredible. Small plates, tapas style, with enough options to keep you busy and sated. The variety is impressive with every plate unique and flavorful. The cocktail offerings are in the same vein, with options for every taste. I had the negroni, which had a spin of sherry for something a little extra. The staff is meticulous in their presentation, constantly clearing in an unobtrusive yet intentional way. Friendly and checking in regularly. The managers were present and constantly scanning the details. They are actively involved in the success of this concept. I made a point to speak with one of the managers on how impressed I was with the experience. If this was a readily accessible restaurant, I would visit - often. Somehow in the cluster of airport hustle bustle, this lounge provides a delicious and refreshing respite that could stand on its own.

What an amazing experience. Lots of options. Warm as well as cold food. We went at breakfast time. They opened at 6 am. Food was high quality delicious and presented very well. Lots of staff to help as well or bring food to the table. So unlike most other lounges.

Airport lounges are a broad spectrum. With everything from high class to absolute trash, thoughtfulness, design and execution could be an afterthought. This José Andres collaboration does not disappoint. We arrived and got checked in after a few minute wait. Designed as a large open air sit down space, it has all the high end restaurant vibes and none of the airport lounge misses. After taking delivery of a gin and tonic from the mobile bar, we placed our orders digitally. The food offerings on the menu are vast and plentiful, and you can order as many other items as you would like. Delivered tapas style, there's plenty of opportunity to share. If you want to order in person, that option is available as well. Go up and order anything from a variety of cheeses, to a deconstructed charcuterie board, to a host of desserts that dare you to stop at one. Food is incredible, service is stellar, and the atmosphere is relaxed. This airport lounge by designation only is an elevated enough experience to be a destination all on its own. Having traveled the world and spent a great deal of time in airport lounges in different countries, this one quickly became one of my top three. Anytime I am traveling to or through DC, this will be a stop. Enjoy.

Be sure to come here earlier or check in online because the wait time tends to be long. If you have their credit card with the perk, entry is free although I hear your guests will soon have to pay since Capital One is reducing their card benefits. Personally, I don’t feel like the price non-credit card holders have to pay justifies the quality of the food. That’s not to say the food is bad. It’s just average food that doesn’t stand out. Staff is courteous and friendly.

As the competition between lounges heats up this one is worth a visit. It is unique in format serving tapas that you order from your phone. The food quality is elevated rather than the usual pressed chicken you see at the other clubs you can get hangar steak (tapas sized). Service was generally quick and the lounge seems to keep over crowding down. Tip you can make a reservation at this one. I was impressed.

This Capital One Landing at DCA is located near the American Airlines terminals and near the North Security checkpoint. If you go on your Capital One app and account for venture x benefits, you can reserve a time here. This is the only capital one lounge that allow you to reserve. Just make your booking several weeks in advance. It is a pretty easy check in process. They have some storage options for your bags. The food and drinks here are amazing. Chef Jose Andres has some influence here. There is a combination of self serve and service options for food. For service, you scan a QR code which will match with your table and it will lead you to an ordering page. You can order from this portal and the workers will bring your food or drinks over. The employees are all friendly and professional. I have been to majority of Capital One lounges in the US and I think the DCA one has one of the best foods.

This is a nice lounge but it’s in the middle of the airport which is a little strange. But despite it not being secluded this is a nice lounge. It does get super busy and sometimes the wait is long as they don’t allow you to enter without a seat. They have a pretty nice menu that you order from a QR. They also have other food options available near the bar. The drink menu is the same as the other lounges and service is pretty quick. I will use this lounge again. And I do want to shoutout some of the staff who is amazing! Ricky Maia Mame Please give them their flowers as they are top tier!
